Lignite coal, also known as brown coal, is a type of low-grade coal with a relatively low carbon content, typically ranging from 25% to 35%. Compared to other types of coal, lignite coal has a higher moisture content, typically ranging from 20% to 70%, lower heating value, and higher ash and sulfur content.
